Marisa Tontaveetong (Ginger) is an enthusiastic animator with a passion for exploration. Born in Bangkok, Thailand and currently located in Atlanta, she is pursuing her MFA in Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design. Her main inspiration leading her to the animation field come are animations such as the Nightmare Before Christmas and the Toy Story Chronicles. 

 

Her specialty is working in project management, stopmotion, and art directing working with a group to pull out the most efficient pipeline based on each members' talents, while maintaining a fun and encouraging environment. 

 

Inspired by her time as a student volunteer at the SIGGRAPH 2013 conference at Anaheim, LA, she sees a future for the blending of the 3D physical techniques from stopmotion and 3D printing in fusion with digital animation. 

 

She also holds a B.Tech in Computer Graphics and Multimedia from Bangkok University, and operates ICONOGRAPHIX DESIGN, a freelance web design agency, with her best friend who is working remotely with her in Thailand.
